acireṇa parasya bhūyasīṃ viparītāṃ vigaṇayya cātmanaḥ
kṣayayuktim upekṣate kṛtī kurute tatpratikāram anyathā //

Recognizing that the greater decline of the enemy will soon occur / and that his own is the opposite, / a resolute man overlooks his own state of loss; / otherwise, he applies a remedy.
