uditopalaskhalanasaṃvalitāḥ sphuṭahaṃsasārasavirāvayujaḥ
mudam asya māṅgalikatūryakṛtāṃ dhvanayaḥ pratenur anuvapram apām //

Intermingled through dashing against raised stones, / joined with the clear cries of swans and cranes, / the sounds of the waters along the banks gave him joy / like the players of auspicious instruments.
