avarugṇatuṅgasuradārutarau nicaye puraḥ surasaritpayasām
sa dadarśa vetasavanācaritāṃ praṇatiṃ balīyasi samṛddhikarīm //
Before him, in the mass of waters of the divine river / by which tall deodar trees had been broken down, / he saw the bowing practiced by the cane brake, / which brings prosperity before the stronger.
