sambhinnām aviralapātibhir mayūkhair nīlānāṃ bhṛśam upamekhalaṃ maṇīnām
vicchinām iva vanitā nabhontarāle vaprāmbhaḥsrutim avalokayāṃbabhūvuḥ //

Intermingled with the thick-falling rays
of the blue sapphires clinging close to their girdles,
the women beheld the mountain's cascading streams
as if torn into fragments across the mid-sky.
