madhyamopalanibhe lasadaṃśāv ekataś cyutim upeyuṣi bhānau
dyaur uvāha parivṛttivilolāṃ hārayaṣṭim iva vāsaralakṣmīm //

Extremely thirsty with the hands of its rays, having intensely tasted the lotus-born honey,
as if fallen into intoxication, the sun assumed a red form as it approached the earth.
