"gato vanaṃ śvo bhaviteti rāmaḥ," śokena dehe janatā 'timātram,
dhīrās tu tatra cyuta-manyavo 'nye dadhuḥ kumārā'nugame manāṃsi.

"Rāma will be gone to the forest tomorrow"—at this, the people burned excessively with sorrow; / but the steadfast others there, shedding their anger, set their minds on following the prince.
