cakranduruccair nṛ-patiṃ sametya taṃ mātaro 'bhyarṇamupāgatā'srāḥ,
purohitā'mātya-mukhāś ca yodhā vivṛddha-manyu-pratipūrṇa-manyā.

Coming to meet him, the mothers wept aloud beside the king, their tears flowing, / and the warriors, led by the royal priest and ministers, had their neck-tendons swollen with mounting fury.
