ā-tiṣṭhad-gu japan sandhyā prakrāntāmāyatīgavam
prātastarāṃ patatribhyaḥ prabuddhaḥ praṇaman ravim.

Reciting prayers during twilight until the cows stood up [for milking] and until the cows came home,
awakened earlier in the morning than the birds, he bowed to the sun.
