May that Āryā, the venerable Goddess, purify you! She who is easily propitiated, won over, through the sacrifice of self-restraint and protection—restraint being a tranquil state of mind, protection being preservation, and that very thing being the sacrifice, the offering; by whom, abounding in prudence, long-extended, energetic [demons] were vanquished, overcome, to the deceitful mockery, the pretext for derision, of Hari, of Indra. The meaning is: those who, under the sway of arrogance, even attacked Śakra to mock him were also overcome by her. // 8
