Triumphant are the seams of Caṇḍī's bodice bursting in the swelling region, the elevated spot, from the burden of the shifting of her breasts. Of her of what sort? Casting her eye across the quarters, followed by the deep resonant sound of the braceleted hand that has loosed an arrow immediately, [its eye] surpassing a cloud, possessing the beauty of a trembling lotus-calyx. Again, of what sort? Discharging arrows to left and right against the enemies of the gods.
With the slopes of her breasts radiant in the lifting of her arms, with her bodice bursting at its edges,
with her lower garment half held by the girdle slipping down from the deep expanse of her navel and belly,
may Pārvatī’s body, lovely through its exertion in the encounter with the Mahiṣa demon,
with the lustrous mass of her hair charmingly loosened beyond its binding, protect you. || 72
