May Pārvatī protect you, striking thus with sarcasm the buffalo enemy of the gods. Speaking thus how? "O fair lady, abandoning upon Śambhu his own garland—the garland belonging to skulls which was crushed and therefore fallen away in the dense friction that arose from mutual embrace—pale with dust stirred up and broken by hoof-tips, having crushing in play, that is, a tight embrace, and on the other hand a battle, I, the Lord, have come here nearby to you out of desire."
Fierce with a stream of flames, producing dread by its roaring, capable of destroying host after host of Daityas, / Viṣṇu's discus, firmly thrown, had its impetus thwarted and was not able to pierce him; / yet the essence of that lord of the gods' enemies' bones was crushed by the fall of her foot. / May that Rudrāṇī protect you, having all calamities completely calmed without hindrance.
