May that foot of Pārvatī protect you, which was praised and reverently worshipped by the gurus of the three worlds, Brahmā and the others, whose minds were captured by wonder at the crushing of the gods' foe, contemplating it again and again. Meditating how? "Where is this foe of the gods, his body resembling a thunderbolt, sharpened by a hundred sharp and fierce edges? And where is this woman's foot, of the Goddess, with the brilliance of a lotus, not overly heavy?" The sense is that there is an immense difference between them.
The thunderbolt-function of Thunderbolt-in-Hand, the discus-work of the Discus-Bearer who splits the sons of Diti,
the spear-nature of the Spear-Bearer, the spear-strike of the Six-Faced One, the lord of the heavenly host—
all this was performed by her foot through the destruction of the immortals' foe;
may that Rudrāṇī, bringing welfare to the gods whose battles against Danu's sons were in vain, protect you! || 98
