āyuṣmān kīrtimān dhanyaḥ prajāvāṃś ca bhaven naraḥ
sthiravaṃśaś ca bhavati mṛtaḥ svarge mahīyate |
ādisargaṃ viditvemaṃ yatheṣṭāṃ prāpnuyād gatim //
Long-lived, famed, fortunate, and endowed with offspring a man becomes, / and his lineage becomes enduring; when dead, he is honored in heaven; / having known this original creation, he attains whatever goal he desires.
