sa vairājaḥ prajāsargaṃ sasarja puruṣaḥ prabhuḥ
manuṃ prajāpatiṃ viddhi sasarja prabhur īśvaraḥ |
nārāyaṇavisargaḥ sa prajās tasyāpy ayonijāḥ //
That sovereign Puruṣa, born of Virāj, emitted the creation of offspring; / know Manu to be Prajāpati, whom the sovereign Lord emitted; / that is the emission of Nārāyaṇa, and his offspring were not born from a womb.
