māyāpāśair vimuktās tu yatnavantaḥ surottamāḥ
vapūṃṣi daityasaṃghānāṃ tamobhūtāny apātayan //
Freed from the magical snares and making effort, the best of the gods / struck down the bodies of the Daitya hosts that had been enveloped in darkness.
