gāvo hi pūjyāḥ satataṃ sarveṣāṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ
syāt tu sāmnā bhavet prītir bhavatāṃ vaibhavāya ca
tata etan mama vacaḥ kriyatām avicāritam //
"Cows indeed must always be honored by everyone, there is no doubt of this; / but let it be through conciliation, so that affection arises, and for your prosperity; / therefore let these words of mine be carried out without hesitation."
