vaiśaṃpāyaṇa uvāca
dāmodaravacaḥ śrutvā hṛṣṭās te goṣu jīvinaḥ
tadvāg amṛtam ākhyātaṃ pratyūcur aviśaṅkayā //

Having heard the words of Dāmodara, those who live by cattle were delighted; / accounting his speech as nectar, they replied without hesitation:
