iriṇaṃ tadvanaṃ sarvaṃ tena saudāsakarmaṇā
kṛtaṃ turagadaityena sarvān gopāñ jighāṃsatā //
That entire forest was turned into a barren wasteland by that horse-daitya, / whose deeds were like those of Saudāsa, wishing to slay all the cowherds.
