niḥsaṃpātaḥ kṛtaḥ panthās tena tadviṣayāśrayaḥ
madāc calitavṛttena nṛmāṃsāny aśnatā bhṛśam //
The path leading to that region was made completely impassable / by him who strayed from proper conduct out of rut, voraciously devouring human flesh.
