naramṛgapativarṣmālokanabhrāntanārī-
naradanujasuparvatrātapātālalokaḥ |
karajakuliśapālībhinnadaityendravakṣāḥ
suraripubalahantā śrīdharo'stu śriye vaḥ || 1 ||

May Śrīdhara bring you prosperity— / whose form of man and lion terrified women, men, danujas, and gods, yet protected the underworld; / who tore open the chest of the daitya king with his vajra-like claws; / the destroyer of the hosts of the gods' enemies! || 1
