Chalitarama (Chalitarāma)
छलितराम
Rāma Deceived
Anonymous play on the later story of Rāma: Sītā is sent away through the ruse of two rākṣasas of Lavaṇa disguised as Kaikeyī and Mantharā, Lava is captured and Rāma recognises his sons. Known from quotations in Dhanika's Avaloka on the Daśarūpaka and in Viśvanātha's Sāhityadarpaṇa, and from summaries by Abhinavagupta, Bhoja and Kuntaka (who names it among plays with apt titles).

yenāvṛtya mukhāni sāma paṭhatām atyantam āyāsitaṃ bālye yena hṛtākṣasūtravalayapratyarpaṇaiḥ krīḍitam | yuṣmākaṃ hṛdayaṃ sa eṣa viśikhair āpūritāṃsasthalo mūrcchāghoratamaḥpraveśavivaśo baddhvā lavo nīyate ||
He who, covering their mouths, so greatly troubled you as you recited the Sāman, who as a child played at snatching your rosaries and giving them back — your darling, this Lava, his shoulders filled with arrows, helpless as he sinks into the dreadful darkness of a swoon, is led away in bonds.

lakṣmaṇa, tātaviyuktām ayodhyāṃ vimānastho nāhaṃ praveṣṭuṃ śaknomi | tad avatīrya gacchāmi | ko 'pi siṃhāsanasyādhaḥ sthitaḥ pādukayoḥ puraḥ | jaṭāvān akṣamālī ca cāmarī ca virājate ||
(Rāma:) Lakṣmaṇa, I cannot enter Ayodhyā, bereft of our father, seated in the aerial car; so I shall get down and walk. — Someone is there below the throne, before the sandals, with matted hair and a rosary, and with a fly-whisk, shining.

sītā jāda, kallaṃ kkhu tumhehiṃ ajujjhāe gaṃtavvaṃ | tahiṃ so rāā viṇaeṇa ṇamidavvo | lavaḥ amba, kim āvābhyāṃ rājopajīvibhyāṃ bhavitavyam? | sītā jāda, so kkhu tumhāṇaṃ pidā | lavaḥ kim āvayo raghupatiḥ pitā? | sītā (sāśaṅkam) jāda, ṇa kkhu paraṃ tumhāṇaṃ, saalāe jjaivva puhavīe
Sītā: Children, tomorrow you must go to Ayodhyā; there you must bow with humility to the king. — Lava: Mother, are we to be dependants of the king? — Sītā: Child, he is your father. — Lava: Is the lord of the Raghus our father? — Sītā (apprehensively): Child, not yours only — of the whole earth.
Kathā
2.1
lavaṇaprayuktarākṣasābhyāṃ vā sopaskareṇa tadabhidhāya sītā parityājitā na kaikeyīmantharābhyām iti chalitarāme
Or, in the Chalitarāma, Sītā was made to be abandoned by two rākṣasas employed by Lavaṇa who said so with embellishment — not by Kaikeyī and Mantharā.

kvacin nāṭake dharmaḥ pradhānam — yathā chalitarāme rāmasyāśvamedhayāgaḥ
In some plays dharma is the principal [aim] — as Rāma's horse sacrifice in the Chalitarāma.
