(4.188) Vāsavadattā | Come, Ratnāvalī, come! Let this much at least be befitting my sister. | Adorning Ratnāvalī with her own ornaments, taking her by the hand, and approaching the King | Noble lord, accept this Ratnāvalī.
(4.189) The King | Extending his hands with joy | Who would not prize the queen's favor highly?
(4.190) Vāsavadattā | Noble lord, her family is indeed far away; so act in such a way that she will not remember her kinsfolk. | She hands her over.
(4.191) The King | As the queen commands.
(4.192) The Jester | Dances with joy | Ha, ha, sir! Victory, victory to you! The earth has indeed now come into the hands of my dear friend!
(4.193) Vasubhūti | Queen, fittingly do you bear the title of queen!
(4.194) Bābhravya | Now my toil has borne fruit!
(4.195) Yaugandharāyaṇa | Lord, what further favor may I perform for you?
(4.196) The King | Is there any favor beyond this? For:
Vikramabāhu has been brought to equality with myself; this beloved Sāgarikā,
the essence on the earth's surface and sole cause of winning the ocean-girdled earth, has been won;
and the queen has attained joy through gaining a sister; the Kosalas have been conquered;
what is there, while you, the bull among ministers, are present, for which I could long? || 84 || (4.21)
Even so, let this be the actor's epilogue:
May Vāsava, pouring forth desired rain, make the earth rich in abundant crops;
may the foremost Brahmins duly bring delight to the gods with sacrifices;
and until the end of the aeon may there be the union of good men with accumulated happiness;
may the slanders of malicious people, hard to conquer and fast as cement, come entirely to peace! || 84 || (4.22)
All exit.
