etat sarvam ākarṇya mayālocitaṃ-mamānnāvasthānam ayuktam idānīm | tathā coktam-
atyanta-vimukhe daive vyarthe yatne ca pauruṣe |
manasvino daridrasya vanād anyat kutaḥ sukham //

'I can stay here no longer; and to tell my distress to another is out of the question—altogether out of the question!—
