virahe 'pi saṅgamaḥ khalu
parasparaṃ saṅgataṃ mano yeṣām |
hṛdayam api vighaṭṭitaṃ cet
saṅgī virahaṃ viśeṣayati ||
Even in separation there is union / for those whose minds are joined to each other; / but if the heart is estranged, / union only intensifies separation.
