Whether toward a serpent or a pearl garland, a powerful enemy or a friend,
a jewel or a clod of earth, a bed of flowers or a slab of stone,
a blade of grass or a woman: may my days pass with an even gaze,
repeating "Śiva, Śiva, Śiva" somewhere in a sacred forest.
