8.6.26

śleṣmaṇastaṃ nihantyāśu tiktastasmādanantaram
hrāsayatyāsyamādhuryaṃ kaphaṃ saṃśoṣayatyapi

that belongs to kapha; bitter, immediately after that,
reduces the sweetness in the mouth and thoroughly dries up kapha;
