vraṇakuṣṭhaharā sarvakuṣṭhaghnī ca viśeṣataḥ /

nirbhārā śubhravarṇā ca snigdhā sāmlā parā matā /
sā phullatuvarī proktā lepācchīghraṃ caredayaḥ //

curing ulcers and skin diseases, and especially destroying all skin diseases [is the first]. / Weightless, white-coloured, unctuous, slightly sour is the other considered: / that is called puffed alum; by anointing, it quickly moves [over] iron.
