nīyamānastu gaṅgāyā vāyunā gauravena yat /
apatad dūradeśe vai sa deśaḥ pāradaḥ smṛtaḥ //
That which, being carried along from the Gaṅgā by the wind, fell in a distant land because of its heavy weight, that region is known as Pārada.
