ūrdhvaṃ ṣoḍaśikāmātraistuṣairvā govaraiḥ puṭam /
yatra tallāvakākhyaṃ syāt sumṛdudravyasādhane //

[The quail heating (lāvakapuṭa):] / Where there is heating from above with husks or cowdung cakes to the measure of only a sixteenth, / that should be named *lāvaka*, for the preparation of very soft substances.
