karṣamātraṃ trimāsāntar jarāmṛtyuṃ jayennaraḥ /
saṃvatsarācca brahmāyuḥ siddhaḥ sarvagato bhavet //
In the measure of a karṣa, within three months a man conquers old age and death; / and after a year, endowed with the lifespan of Brahmā, an adept, he can go everywhere.
