saptatidvisahasrāḥ syustāsu mukhyā daśa smṛtāḥ /
iḍā ca prathamā nāḍī piṅgalā ca dvitīyakā //

They are seventy-two thousand, among which ten are taught as foremost: / iḍā is the first channel, and piṅgalā the second;
