evaṃ ca dvādaśapalaṃ tīkṣṇajīrṇasya bhakṣayet /
evaṃ jīvanmahākalpaṃ pralayānte śivaṃ vrajet //
And thus one should consume twelve palas of that which has digested steel; / living in this way for a great cosmic cycle, he attains Śiva at the end of the dissolution.
