tallohakṣiptam uṣṇāmbu śītalaṃ bhavati kṣaṇāt /
<lohaśuddhiḥ>
ūnaṃ pañcapalānnaiva nordhvaṃ pañcadaśāt palāt //

Hot water poured on that iron becomes cool in an instant.
<Purification of iron>
Not less than five palas and not more than fifteen palas [of iron is to be taken].
