2.9.11

kiṃciddravyaṃ prakurvanti dhāmyamānaṃ na tiṣṭhati /
patre pāke kaṣe chede naiva tiṣṭhati kāñcanam //

They produce a little substance, but it does not endure when blown with bellows;
that gold does not stand up to the test of the foil, the fire, the touchstone, or cutting.
