The moderate land (sādhāraṇa) has equal waste products; thus one should designate the land habitat as threefold. / Time, bringing about the application of medicine, is considered as moments and the like, as well as the stage of disease. / Bitter [taste] is especially to be applied in pitta, and pungent in kapha. / In the [prescribed] month, one should lead [the child] out, properly adorned, to bow to the gods.
