Vilambikā occurs in a severely debilitated person from deeply entrenched āma alone; / having symptoms of āma mixed with kapha and vāta, its management is the same as for them. // One suffering from gulma and one suffering from urinary disorder who are emaciated should be avoided, even when the disorder is slight. // And because in it one suffers as if pierced by a spike, afflicted with severe pain and labored breathing, it is therefore called śūla [colic].
