When a residue of chyme remains, there is aversion to food, impurity and heaviness in the region of the heart; / in that case, one should sleep during the day without eating, and when hungry, eat a light meal. // A patient in whom [these signs] are observed does not live three fortnights. // Its five locations are: the urinary bladder, the navel, the two flanks, and the heart. / Now, its premonitory symptoms are: debility of the digestive fire and body, loss of taste, inability to tolerate satiation, belly-colic, distension, frequent belching of acidified food, vomiting, rumbling in the abdomen, and appearance or non-passage of stool.
