Ashtangasamgraha 19.16

19.16

vakṣyante vātajāstatra nidāne vātaraugike |

pittaṃ tvaci sthitaṃ kuryādvisphoṭakamasūrikāḥ ||

ekadeśāśraye ca śvayathau yathāsannaṃ vamanādīni raktāvasecanaṃ ca kurvīteti |

bhavati cātra ||

Those caused by vāta will be explained there, in the Etiology of Vāta Diseases. / Pitta located in the skin produces boils and smallpox;
and in swelling situated in a single part, one should administer emesis and the other [therapies], as well as blood-letting, according to proximity.
