yadā tūnmārgago vāto garbhasya rasavāhīni srotāṃsi śoṣayati tadā vātarogī hīnāṅgo vā jāyate |
When, however, vāta going in the wrong direction dries up the chyle-carrying bodily channels of the fetus, then it is born afflicted by vāta disorders or with deficient limbs.
