Just as a seed resting in the soil and sprinkled with water awaits only the [proper] time
to sprout, so the seed of a doṣa [awaits the time] to produce disease.
Madhūka, madhuka, udīcya, nīlotpala, and madhūlikā;
they are especially beneficial for malabsorption, anemia, itching, urticaria, and piles.
These nine, beginning with trivṛt, are foremost in purgation.
Oil [prepared] with goat urine and surā is beneficial for massage.
