Just as poison, having produced its bout, lies dormant and weak in its seat,
and when it regains strength becomes provoked again in due course, so does the poison of a doṣa.
[It overcomes] cough, bleeding disorder, erysipelas, dyspnea, hiccup, and vomiting,
especially relieving malabsorption, swelling, anemia, urinary disorders, and abdominal enlargement.
A poultice ground with surā should be applied to the lower body in those suffering from emaciation.
