Aṣṭāṅgasaṃgraha 22.12

22.12
jñānabuddhipradīpena yo nāviśati yogivat |
āturasyāntarātmānaṃ na sa gorāṃścikitsati ||
pālāśaṃ vā kṣāraṃ yathābalaṃ phāṇitopetam ||
He who does not enter, like an adept of yoga, into the inner self of the patient
with the lamp of intellect and understanding does not cure diseases.
Or [he should take] alkali of palāśa according to strength, mixed with molasses.
