27.15

evaṃ kaṭutīkṣṇoṣṇaiḥ kaphe chardayet |

svādubhiḥ pittayukte |

amlaiḥ sasnehairanilasaṃsṛṣṭe |

yāvat kaphacchedaḥ kevalamauṣadhapravṛttiḥ pittadarśanaṃ vā ||

Thus, in kapha, one should induce vomiting with pungent, sharp, and hot [substances];
with sweet ones when it is joined with pitta;
with sour ones accompanied by unctuous substances when it is combined with vāta;
until there is the cessation of kapha, the discharge of medicine alone, or the sight of pitta.
