One whose urges are deficient, however, should induce them again and again with pippalī, āmalaka, mustard paste, salt, and hot water.
One unable to tolerate abundant emesis should rest for two or three days.
One should administer emetics that are disagreeable, repulsive, unsightly, and foul-smelling;
but purgatives that are the opposite.
And in all emetics, one should administer rock salt and honey for the sake of liquefying and breaking up kapha.
And one should inspect his urges that have entered the spittoon.
Severe burning sensation, pain, redness, delirium, fever, thirst, and giddiness [occur].
