In that case, one should cook twenty palas of medicines and eight madanaphala fruits according to the rule for decoctions.

One should add an unctuous substance equal to a fourth part of the decoction in vāta, a sixth part in pitta and the healthy regimen, and an eighth part in kapha.

And the paste should be an eighth part of the whole, as much as would not make it overly thin or dense.

One should add a pala of jaggery, and honey and rock salt with propriety, and the remaining [ingredients] as suitable.
