na śatruṇā nāviditairnaiko nādhārmikaiḥ saha |
dadyādvartmā 'rtavṛddhastrībhāricakradvijanmane ||
mṛcchyāmāsārivāmustādhātakīyaṣṭikānvitāt ||
Not with an enemy, not with unknown persons, not alone, and not with the unrighteous.
He should yield the path to the afflicted, the aged, women, those carrying burdens, vehicles, and the twice-born.
From [water] mixed with red ochre, śyāmā, sārivā, mustā, dhātakī, and liquorice.
