srānabhojanapānāni vāhebhyo na+ācaret puraḥ |
nadīṃ tarenna bāhubhyāṃ nāgniskandhamabhivrajet ||
madhūdakaṃ rasaṃ cekṣoḥ piben jayati śoṇitam ||
He should not perform bathing, eating, or drinking ahead of his draft animals.
He should not cross a river with his arms, nor advance into a mass of fire.
He should drink honey-water and sugarcane juice; it overcomes bleeding.
