Placed in fresh earthen vessels, heart-pleasing, fragrant,
Pānakas along with manthas, rich in sugar, and cold;
Obstruction, however, is of three kinds:
At the head, at the shoulder, or at the hips;
In deep echoing resonance, one should cure the deep [abscess] among them;
One should avoid the first two, the last, and one that exhibits all signs and is paroxysmal;
With kapha, it is beneficial with abdā and pepper; with wind, it is beneficial with ghee;
It is likewise beneficial in tenesmus with the stalks of śālmalaka;
May the gods and yakṣas grant you well-being, and may no evil come upon you;
