One should steam a thousand āmalakas in a fresh palāśa trough that has a cover and does not let steam escape, over fires of wild cow dung. / Taking them out once well-steamed and cooled, deseeded, and crushed, combining them with an āḍhaka each of seeds of pippalī and viḍaṅga, one and a half [āḍhakas] of sugar, and six of honey, ghee, and oil, one should place it in a ghee jar for twenty nights, and afterwards use it. The rest is equal to the previous formulation.
