One should steep a thousand abhayās and a thousand āmalakas together with a thousand pippalīs in the alkaline water of young palāśa and place them in a clean vessel.
Then, after the alkali has penetrated, one should dry them away from the sun, remove the seeds, powder them, mix [the powder] with one quarter part of rock sugar and four times as much honey and ghee, store it in a ghee-vessel beneath the earth for six months, and subsequently consume it according to the strength of one's digestive fire; the rest is identical with what was said before.
